    It feels like "time stop" and "mind control" aren't really that fun as NTR superpowers, though passable

    I mean, compared to like, illusion or pickpocketing; like, it's more fun to put some other girl's things in a responsible boyfriend's belongings and make his girlfriend misunderstand and then take advantage of this friction, than, you know, to just "assuming direct control" or something, right?

    Hi Cambrian. Just wanted to comment here on a whim. Your fanfic 'not so solo after all' was originally how I found your stories years ago as it's one of the few existing solo leveling fics with smut in it. With the recent debut of the anime I found myself revisiting your story I know the likelihood of it getting continued is low, but I just wanted to give it a shout-out.

    Heh maybe, but no promises. Commissions are currently closed and will be for the foreseeable future. The price is also 5 cents per word at the moment even if they do reopen and I know that can be pretty prohibitive to most people.

    I mean, there's practically no way to turn the ship around now. It's not like they can pull a Marvel, despite how similar the situation is; you know, here's a Metzen, there's a Stan Lee, acquisition by MSFT, acquisition by DIS, lots of IPs, lots of IPs... there's no "Iron Man" kind of product to turn it around, you know? And before that, there was a Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy, but what's here? An Overwatch 2?

    Just wanted to say thanks for writing "Interspecies Relations!", your Seton Academy story. I know it's old, but when I saw a post on the series and went looking? Yours was the only fic worth reading. There may have been a snippet here and there, but they weren't much and certainly nowhere near as well written. Shame that a show like that never achieved any popularity... Take care dude, thanks for the entertainment!

    But a lot of stories are like this, they start with one eye catching joke or fun plot point, but they can't really string together a story for shit, you know, it loses you, makes you skim, and blank out, and ugh so disappointing

    Its weird, I thought I had a really cool eye catching plot hook for The Soul Engine, but now fifty chapters in I get people who tell me that the start actually almost turned them off to the story but they're glad they pushed past it and kept going because it got better.

    And I'm just like "THE START WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE HOOK FFS"

    but all things need to consider the degree of which you do things

    it's like avengers endgame, you know, the big scene where everyone shows up, you waited 10 years for it

    but do the same thing in dragonflight and it's just cringe, not even the scalies cared about warcraft like that

    There's actually more stories here of a different subgenre of the "I'm an NPC" type, it's where the MC is the maker of the game, or on some level the channel for which players enter the game world, and usually a portion of what players gain (levels, exp, etc.) can be translated into "IRL", and the MC has to worry about running the "world"

    For example, "Ginny cheats on Harry" tends to be a common trope, but inflicting physical pain is so... mundane... muggle even. As the master of death, you could pull an entire life's experience on to her, make her regret, self-blame, you know, delicious emotional pain
