Not enough stories set in Faerun, especially after BG3 came around, but it also feels like there isn't an audience?

Its weird cuz I've gotten three different BG3 commissions that are all going to be multi-chapter stories, and they're pretty popular. But over on my Patreon, BG3 prompts are always last place in the polls. So I dunno if there's an audience or not.

I feel like there's always a few big fans of the setting, you know, the older ones, the greybeards basically, and it's like, you know, they got the cash, but they don't got the numbers, or something. Just a feeling though. But you know, I usually look at what the new writers usually first dip their toes in first to see what's poppin', you know, and it's like, IDK, Faerun is...
You know what blows my mind of your fics? None of them are not interesting, and the consistency with which you write, if I am ever bored I read one of your fics while skipping the sex scenes and they still make sense. Hope you keep writing and be this awesome.
Looking back, players are basically the Scourage or the Zerg... unending, undying, devouring everything, looting everything, and then taking all that they took and making themselves stronger and coming back for more

until the game becomes pay to win and shit, I guess

but that's like the fist of god coming down from the heavens

Nah, for me if I let enthusiasm wane at all, the idea dies on the vine, never harvested. The only way I've managed to write any of the 200k word free writes I've produced in the past 2 years is by grabbing onto that enthusiasm with both hands and creating an entire novel outline in the span of about 10 days.

Once I have the whole entire story outlined ahead of time, I can commit to writing it all the way through even if my enthusiasm for it wanes.

Wrote five full stories of 60-80 chapters each in 2022 and 2023 that way, and currently 60% of the way through my sixth story lol.

I was gonna play Cyberpunk 2077, but then I noticed I had a lot of mods to update, and then I gave up

Yeah I never played with mods my first playthrough in 2021 so I just went with a fresh install and started a brand new playthrough

and it's not like just updating mods, because I played again beginning of this year because of the anime, right, so then it's like, I got redmod or whatever the fuck, and all these attachment stuff, and files that need to be replaced, and aaa
Sure are a lot of people comparing Cyberpunk 2077 with Starfield these days

Its funny, I played BG3 first and Starfield second and felt comfortable giving Starfield a 7 out of 10. Now that I'm playing Cyberpunk again though, I kind of want to drop that to a 6 out of 10 lmao

Comparison is the thief of joy.

Well, BG3 and Starfield aren't really comparable games, but CP and SF definitely fall into more similar genres.

Yeah. I still stand by my enjoyment versus cost for Starfield to be fair. I didn't technically pay anything for it because I got 10 months of Game Pass for free due to a birthday gift. And Starfield is very much worth playing if you can get it for free.

Heh, likewise I got $40 in Steam Gift Cards for my birthday as well though, so Phantom Liberty was also free.
You know, i was reading your story "a determined man's travels" and realized something... Camelot Singularity is the reason the saberverse exists, you know the one where (iirc) mystery heroine X comes from? That was created by shirou and lancer offspring... just made sense to me, what do you think?

I think I dunno nearly as much about the Nasuverse/Fate as I probably should given how much I write for the setting/settings :p All I can really say is that if it makes sense to you, it probably makes sense to me!
I hear you got cunted in the punt off fanfic
And now I wanna read all your shit

    So.
Where is it all, besides here?
You know, that fantasy setting with the crystal walls around the world seems interesting because it's a plausible thing, like, there's planets that don't orbit stars so their outer atmosphere is frozen like a shell, but the planet core provides enough heat (before it burns out) so that there's still stuff that isn't frozen underneath, and it's like they'll never know there's a whole universe outside

First, wasn't a moon of saturn iirc predicted to be able to be like that? Secondly, in case you dont know thats similar to dnd crystal spheres but with a different explication. And thirdly, what setting is that? Because it sounds interesting.
not enough holiday events in fantasy worlds/space, now that I think about it, like even in baldur's gate, there's often a lack of progression of time or something, because you know, I guess, the mechanics of this type of game is that events are triggered, so, hm, I don't know, hm, but then again, wow had holiday events, but idk, not that great
I guess I prefer scifi settings that masquerade as fantasy settings more. The reveal is always something of a delight, but rarely pulled off right. Hard scifi just reminds me that we're not there yet irl. :(

sand worms, light sabers, psykers, alien booba... you know what I mean lol
    Cambrian
    Cambrian
Well the alien wild life is pretty intense, so sand worms are covered. And the psykers stuff is also in the game. There's canonical mind control in fact, plus magic space powers you get from the main quest.

The alien booba IS lacking tho, admittedly.

    also death stars!

but alas, it would be an awesome game if it came out in 2011
Why there so many "BigBussy", "BrokenBussy", "BussyButcher" and the like in Classic Hardcore WoW?
JRPG=W/Friendship we can kill God, WRPG=Git im bois, he stole muh job, broke into muh house, and stole muh poop sandwich

    so

Western Japanese RPG should=With the power of Friendship, we can kill the God who broke into my house and stole my poop sandwich!!!
It's like, Miles has a great grade in AP physics, right? And he's a superhero, right? And he's dealt with shit that break spacetime before, right? So wouldn't he know not to laugh at someone with spatial powers? I mean, judging someone by what they look like, look, Spot is... it's just, Miles isn't that good looking either, you know? I just, come on, he shits holes in space like a paratrooper makes hersey's kisses

On the important topic of BOOBA, it seems like Hestia was animated by someone with no BOOBA from the way she brushes her teeth back straight and all
All those people laughing at the guy saying you can't land on gas giant, but I thought it was not entirely "gas" more like it grows denser as you go deeper, so you could probably land on it, though it'd just be like landing in a thick slurry that gets thicker as you go deeper, though I guess Starfield devs too shit so the game probably can't render that

Yeah Bethesda should have made it possible and you just die lmao. But then the naysayers would cry about why would Bethesda allow it if it just kills you, pfft

The planet of Arcadia is, I'm pretty sure, a gas giant. Because that's how it works- middle sky is habitable, but deep sky is extremely deadly with nothing but an ocean of boiling mud at the bottom. Possibly only habitable because Magic Moons, but still.

Hey regarding your stories 'The Arena' or 'Experience Matters' was there a cyoa outline for the choices you were making or did you come up with those on your own? If there is an outline could you share it? Will you be continuing either story?

I came up with those on my own, though The Arena was inspired by 5th edition D&D mechanics.

Experience Matters' entire system was made up on the fly and held together with gum and shoestring. What you see in the Quest Thread is basically everything, I had zero private notes for that one.

But no, those two quests are very much dead.
