Esquestria: The House of the Sun - A pony cultist experience

[X] Turns out, she just needed you to take off your dress.

Someone remind me, what is the timetable for revealing Luna to the Bureau?
Considering our recent MASSIVE jump of personal loyalty of the Bureau towards Velvet, Selene's training being completed, Cadance being in the know and Beyond Reproach investigating Velvet... probably next turn.

If that is the case, between that and slowly introducing the lores to the Bureau, I am not that worried about our detectives noticing Shining's fixed horn.

We need to help Silky grow her cult. Velvet needs a real rival and clearly her youngest is the best option. :V

Not opposed to the friends option, I don't trust Mareinette, but I don't know if continuing to try and keep her out of everything is the best option. I worry about Celestia, but we can't afford to keep pushing our plans down the road.
For the same reason, despite how amusing the dress scene is, we just don't need more things taking up actions over the next turn or two. I'd like to heal Shining Armor, but we don't need more things on our plate until we knock a chunk off. The dancing with death turn set us back and we need to catch up.
Sticking with this for now, may add the friends choice in later.

I think it's about trust, personally. Cadence will never truly grasp her full potential if we keep her under our wings, especially since Love in particular is something that can never thrive in a cage.

The Silky option is fun, and our daughter is always a joy, but its also the safe option. Love's about trust, and trusting someone else is by definition never perfectly safe.

if it was then it wouldn't be trust.

There is a difference between trusting someone and trusting a monster.

The potential of Love is not limited by being in a safe enviroment. In fact I say it would be the perfect enviroment for Cadance considering her mental issues we definitely did not fix in a single conversation.

We also are not keeping Cadance in a cage, not wanting her to meet a monster that will try to manipulate her is not even a bad idea.

Remember that Mareinette wants Velvet to take her Sacrament for a reason and she can offer the same to Cadance twice. After what the Daughter-of-Axes said about Sacraments is that really something wise to do?

And people should trust Cadance to refuse. If Mareinette can't make Velvet do it, then she can't make Cadance do it too. Unless you think that being Alicorn is not enough, and her Lore is too low, in which case the simple solution is to teach her more when we have more time.

It is not what she is but what she knows, Velvet had a really bad experience with Mareinette when they met AND when she was summoned, she is aware of the risks.

Cadance isn't aware of the risks, we would have her drunk as fuck meeting Mareinette as a friend of ours.

That doesn't even start touching on the fact that Velvet doesn't even know what Mareinette is.

And yes I do want to teach the Alicorns personally, have to add to the Alicorn progress counter someway :V.

I mean we already explained everything to Luna. She can warn Cadance. We can inform Cadance about Mareinette being summon too. I imagine we will do it eventually in either case.

As for teaching Alicorns I definitely hope that we would be able to progress it at some point. Both Luna toward lvl 5 , and Cadance when it becomes clear what her initial progress in Lores entails.

My main hope is that having Grail Lore, and maybe Heart too would allow her to work more effectively (tire less due to Heart?), and thus being able to spare at least one of her actions on working for us. It is not three actions from Luna but still something.

Also if we want her more resistant to Mareinette we can teach her in her Winter Lore. It is not direct counter, but I imagine it would still help. Midday Dew was somehow Grail proof on Lantern alone after all.

But it also is not immediate concerns, so next turn we should still focus on our own goals.

Wasn't that the type of thought that led to the Master surprising us and everything else that happened after that?

Short term planning is not something that should be taken as the only way to do things in this quest. We need to think about long term consequences too if not for Velvet if she wins then for Soft Sweeps if she dies.

What lores are we planning to get to level 5
Edge and SH are the only ones we are in a position to finish with relative ease, the rest requires quite a bit of work.

I'm surprised I thought we gave up on edge and it was Grail we were aiming for
I can't really say if we are going to take it, considering this is a democracy that only really applies if a majority votes for it.

But personally I'm never touching the Grail Sacraments.

Personally, I think we're going to get at least SH, Edge, and Moth to 5 (plus Knock which is already at 5). Maybe also Lantern; we can get to Level 4 3/4 btwn a max Lantern Influence and studying the Lantern 4 artifact (which we should do anyway).

Heart seems like something we should attempt
As its yet traumatise velvet

What lores are we planning to get to level 5

SH(Baldomare): Costs 1 Baldomare action and 1 Velvet action. We are almost certainly doing this next turn

SH(Personal): Costs 1 Baldomare action and 2 Velvet actions. We're probably doing this Turn 23 once we have SH5 and Baldomare's SH Influence

Knock: Completed

Moth: 1 Mareinette action to marinate Spoiled Rich, 1 Velvet action, needs us to dedicate Mareinette's action next turn and a study action to reach Moth 4 4/4, then a Velvet action turn 23

Lantern: Needs 4 Lantern scraps and a Baldomare action. We can get one from studying the Lantern 4 artifact and 2 more from getting a max Lantern influence, but that leaves us needing to find one more scrap from either the Mansus or a Lantern studyable from Expeditions. The earliest we could possibly achieve this is Turn 24 if we're extremely lucky.

Forge: We will likely need to find the Forge Name to have a realistic chance of achieving this

Edge: Requires 1 Biedde action and 1 Velvet action as well as 2ish Edge AotLs. We could do this any time we have free actions but we're unlikely to squeeze this into next turn. Irreducible 21ish percent chance to fail and take 2 wounds regardless of how many Attentions we bring. Alternatives include a RA (lol no), or running into an enemy as weak as Heroic Shining Armor but no weaker and clowning them with an Influence (Very unlikely, maybe like a 5% chance that if we personally go to Tall Tale we run into Pharynx and he's good enough?)

Winter: Requires 3 Winter scraps, 90 bits and 3 Velvet actions. Or somehow finding Neighnia and bringing her into the fold (that ship sailed years ago) or an RA (fuck no). We can reach the scraps by studying our Winter 4 artifact plus getting a max level Winter influence via ritual highroll or Mansus.

Heart: Requires EIGHT fucking scraps. We're not hitting this in the time we have left.

Grail: Requires four scraps and ~moral dilemmas~. We're nowhere close to needing to argue this for Level 5 purposes, but Mareinette friendship is on offer by taking her invitation to dinner and that doesn't require us getting the scraps ahead of time
