Motivation, what does Theo (you) want to do? What's his big goal. His first goal should be fairly obtainable. He's newly exalted. And it gives the quest some direction besides stuff I plop in front of you

Let's start by taking over E88 first.

All other possible successors to Kaiser need to either support our claim or be eliminated, then Kaiser will suffer an oh-so-unfortunate accident and we'll get the throne.

If that's not heroic enough - because fulfilling a Motivation is an instant Essence Up - we can set it for the city instead.

 

Honestly it feels a bit too early to worry about motivation, unless we are supposed to pick something comparatively trivial that can be relatively quickly accomplished.

 

The first motivation should be fairly easy to accomplish, he's a new Exalt, but since he is the son of a major crime lord, its still going to be something of an undertaking. Taking over the E88 would be a decent undertaking. Getting Kayden/Purity into the Protectorate without getting her locked up and getting her and Aster sent away from Kaiser. If you are aiming a bit higher, taking over the entirety of BB's underground. Being THE crime lord in the city.

 

IMO this depends on whether we'll start at E2 or E3. E2 could do with just "Take over E88", but if we pay for E3 from bonus points I wouldn't mind if you auto-adjusted it to "Take over BB's underground."

(If Kaiser dies, Kayden won't need to worry about Aster. Win-win!)

 

I just want to make Theo into a badass villain since we're technically an 'Evil' Exalt.

Biigoh He doesn't really have any access to Creation tech at the moment. So he can't start with a Daiklave, but he will be (if all the right choices are chosen and the right mission gets laid out by the Lover) able to get some eventually. You can reason tinker-tech alloy swords and similar, but it would have to be well reasoned, like where did it come from, how was it obtained. Otherwise he's limited to the mundane tech you'd expect for the son of a long time gang lord.

If he stays loyal and does well, he will essentially bank goodwill with the Lover, which when he can finally access Creation, it will score him sweet sweet loot.

I bought Manual of Exalted Power Abyssals the other day so I'll need to finish reading it before thinking of a build.

A cloud of swords, both soulsteel and spectral, floats above the battlefield.

Make it zombie knights, or knights in decaying armor/knights riding skeleton horses and it'd be a pretty good Abyssal anima banner, what with the whole corrupted strength imagery they have going for them.

 

Why not just have them either riding on Skeleton horses or a giant Dragolich following behind instead?

Techincally, Cache eggs weren't designed to do that, per-say; it's just a happy side-effect. That said, artifacts can be (and totally were) made to do that.

In the First Age, it was simply more in-vogue to have an elaborate mausoleum to store your stuff in for the next life; which is why artifacts like that weren't more common.

Anima: A rank and file army of knights, clad in armor of pitch black with silvery trim and baring silver swords and black spears. Behind the marching knights are legions of mounted knights riding on skeletal horses. Each knight is ready and wishing to spill the blood of those who stand before their liege. Towering behind the knights is a pack of undead dragons, foul poisonous fog exuding from their maws as they stamp forward. The howling of spirits, both ally and enemy, follows behind it all.

I like evildice's anima more. It has the benefit of simplicity and being iconic. Plus it references Allfather and Kaiser, what with all the blades. Maybe even Iron Rain, if the fanon "make it rain swords" power is accurate.
