Mr Hamil and most transgender individuals are not delusional. If a transman says "I am a man" they do not mean that they have male genitalia just as saying that Red Tornado is a robot man does not necessarily imply that Red Tornado has male genitalia. The universe feels no obligation to neatly conform itself to human invented typologies so you get things like platypuses, penguins, a variety of hairless bipeds, individuals that have characteristics of both sexes and the distinction between clinical death and brain death. The meaning of specific words in natural language is fuzzy, changes over time and is dependent on context. You can argue about definitions and word usage but since all words are ultimately made up such arguments need to be done on the basis of practicality and how things will be interpreted by the audience. There should be a reason why you want to use words in a particular way or engage in pedantry.
