If you're going to make a Jaune harem fic, taking cues from Tenchi-Muyo is a good approach. All the girls have great characters, they all bounce off one another, Tenchi is more of an everyman but he has a good character and an arc. You can put two Tenchi characters together and know exactly how they'll bounce off eachother. It's simple but well done character writing.

So for Hazel, his semblance stops him from feeling pain so though he was literally impaled through his chest, he didn't actually feel it. Now its never clarified if he never feels pain at all or if his semblance can be turned on or off, but I just assume that unless he suffers an actual fatal or crippling injury he can just keep on fighting.

For Jaune, we know that he can boost aura regeneration like he did for Weiss. I would guess that he can do that for himself as well and that it's unique to him. Aura recovery seems to just happen with time. Jaune is unique however. This scene just shows how he was getting better at using his semblance.

If his Semblance boosts his aura instead of draining it, then it effectively makes him a perpetual motion machine.

If Remnant is anything like our world where the laws of physics and non-ideal conditions dictate that energy will be lost to the surroundings (most likely heat), thus rendering man-made perpetual motion impossible, then Jaune's aura-semblance system should be a big deal.

Honestly, it sounds more and more like Jaune is a discount isekai protagonist who ends up with a super rare talent that makes him ultra-powerful in the new world of being a huntsman.

This exact moment proves that he can absolutely do this

I think like every other Shonen series,Remnant has a "Field of Magic", in the sense that everything related to its power system is able to bend or bypass the laws of Physics.

So while a Perpetual Motion machine using "normal" means is impossible like irl, a sufficiently capable "magician" can easily bypass it, if not fully than partially.

Unfortunately there is no "partially" breaking of Laws of Thermodynamics, as they are very binary in there nature(something is either permitted, or it is not, no other ways about it)

So, due to the writers' own folly, they accidentally gave him a perpetual motion engine for a "Soul" power. One that can enhance and heal others.

Oh my god somebody send him to tibetean monks that will teach him about, "flow", 'breathe" and "motion" of aura/chi already, he'll be Turbo Charging people like Naruto in KCM by the next day.

I think I have commented on r/fnki already how Aura amp and Adam's moon slice can probably build a magic the gathering infinite damage deck.

Some funny ideas for the Hunk Jaune consept:

- Jacked Jaune is able to have some relatable conversations with Yang and Blake due to his shoulders being so big and his waist so thin its almost impossible to find any good shirts or similar upper body clothes that don't look like big sacks (Yang has a similar problem due to her Juganauts), and has a hard time finding pants (not like regular fanon Jaune doesn't have that problem anyway due to different reasons) that fit due to his thighs being so muscular (Blake has a similar issue with her bellabooty).
fun fact: the thighs becomming to big for pants due to muscle is actually something I experiance due to biking way to much (including riding to work every day).

- Hunk Jaune is incredibly popular with all the girls in his team and team RWBY, not because he's muscular, but because he wears pants with big pockets while they're all running around looking lke super-models with no pockets whatsoever and he lets them put their stuff in them (Yang is the only one with somekind of space to put things, and while her cleavage is big, there's only so much she can put in there).

So a small idea/lore bit. Not super relevant but something I feel Pyrrha and Weiss would know but the others are unaware of.

All big celebrities/performers have their aura unlocked.

They just travel so much that it'd be dumb not to, that and random crazy fans, terrorist, other celebrities....yeah having a shield that is always with you is pretty important.

Notably this does not mean they are combat trained so they still hire hunters for body guards and escorts.

Blake wasn't a member of the White Fang. She was more of a mascot. Adam was her minder to keep her out of trouble and out of the bosses hair. He only underestimated what a bored Blake could do once.

No one wanted a repeat of the "World's Largest Yarnball" incident.

Bonus:that incident is how Jaune recognizes Blake… to her horror.

Blake: "Still shut up!" Blake sighs and hugs Jaune. She makes a face. "Ugh. His musk is still all over you!"

Weiss: rolls her eyes "How about I wash off Jaune? It's not like you all have actual feelings for him."

Silence. Yang, Blake and Ruby all flush. Jaune flush.

A few ideas here.

Someone awakens Kali's aura and her semblance is to turn allies into catgirls/boys (temporary or permanent your pick)
Adam in his overeagerness to hurt humans and huntsmen ends up destroying the beacon supply chain of caffeine and chocolate.

Everyone is grumpy and the monthlies are coming.

All of beacon is about to crash out on Adam.

For a assignment everyone is supposed to write a book draft and see if it's good enough for publication.

A few students go above and beyond (or accidentally) getting their stuff published.

(Blake may have been arrested for trying to sneak her book into a shop that isn't for porn.)

Yang gets expelled for incredible acts of violence so she opens a hair salon.


The Ruby gang don't fall into the everafter.

They fall into RWBY chibi.

The chibi are treating this like a attack on Titan parody.

Maybe also a King Kong parody depending on if Jaune can catch chibi Pyrrha

Everyone is sick and tired of Nora forcing every day to be pancake day so they are trying to make her hate pancakes.

(Could go funny or fucked up. You want fucked up? Look up pancake syndrome. I almost accidentally killed my mom with that.)

Cinder and Neo get hit with a semblance that makes their thoughts narrated audibly.

Neo enjoys. Cinder does not.

His backstory is legitimately insane.

He's the descendant of the cat of the main character who got put in suspended animation for a shit ton of time.

While he was out his cat had generations upon generations of descendants who evolved like humans did (but from cats instead of monkeys) and passed down the lore of one day going to paradise aka opening up a hotdog stand.

Then they began fighting over the colors of the hotdog stand in the lore and all killed each other except for Cat and another one who lived just long enough to tell the main character all this then died of old age.

On Worldbuilding: The History of the Faunus and Mankind
So, after the Moonshatter, the Faunus would most likely have had the physical and sensory advantages over humans. So Faunus empires rising that enslaved humanity would be natural. But over time, the canonical issue of Faunus tribes mixing would arise. To quote:

History gets a little fuzzy past a certain point, but we do know that their kind and ours are completely compatible, from a... (slight stuttering) a biological standpoint. Take two wolf Faunus, and you'll get a little wolf cub kiddo. A wolf Faunus and a human also typically means that your little bundle of joy's teething days could get a little dicey. But if you take a wolf Faunus and a bull Faunus, for example, it's a complete roll of the dice. For all you know you could be cleaning up your son's... shedded snake skin. (shudders)

This would make it hard to interbreed between Faunus tribes without a lot of confusion over paternity, which has caused civil wars before. As a result, the various Faunus tribes became more insular and divided against eachother, and stagnated in technology due to their physical abilities. As a result, humans had to be more united than Faunus and focused more on developing technology, and this helped contribute to humanity eventually rising and becoming dominant over the Faunus.

I feel this adds a lot more depth to the world, gives White Fang some rallying points (even if they are, like all calls to ethnonationalism, bullshit), and gives a lot more agency to the Faunus beyond them being perpetual victims. What do you think? What could have various ancient Faunus empires have been like? What are their legacies? Influences? And so on?
