Trials of the God-Harem King [Highschool DxD/Exalted] (CLOSED)

[X] Activate Monkey Leap Technique and Soaring Whirlwind Sprint from Personal Essence, channel Compassion if a roll is required
-[X] It's not even something that requires a thought on your part, as essence flows through you and your bags hit the ground just as your feet leave it in a burst of speed, you bounce off on wall and scope the kitten up, keeping it calm with ease as you safely return yourself and your cargo to the ground in front of the little girl.

I can totally see Issei doing this.

OR, we could just give her a boost. And not the magfical kind either, just help her climb up to the cat.

The roof is 8 METERS tall, and Ise is less than 2m tall.

[X] Gathering yourself, you gently place your bags on the sidewalk. No need to do something obviously supernatural when mundane skill can accomplish the same thing. Rushing forwards, you kick off the alley wall, bouncing to the other side and back, using the steep brick as a stairway to the rooftops. Once their, you grab the kitten, and retrace your steps, handing the small animal back to the child with a flourish.

Eh, Issei is actually rather passive when it comes to girls he doesn't know *unless they start hitting on him first, like Yang did for example* particularly when there is something more important going on, like making a little girl happy etc, if Alexander thinks Issei should start hitting on Kisara after he has handed over the kitten then I've left more then enough room in the write in for him to have Issei do so. /shrug

Just try to conceal it with wall-jumping or something so we are "just" awesome and not pure undiluted GLORIOUS SOLAR BULLSHIT.

Makes a lot more sense than asking if they need help, when they obviously do.

Vote change.

How much longer do you think it will take for Issei to realize he has a natural aura that draws females towards him?

There's really no need for charms here. Over-reliance on charms to be awesome is one of the failings of Solars.

I like this. Using Charms here is kinda like the equivalent of using AA artillery to shoot birds.

[Common Sense]: jumping high enough to reach the cat doesn't necessarily need a Charm activation. [Common Sense] would like to remember the players that, without the aid of magic, characters can jump straight up a maximum number of yards equal to their (Strength + Athletics) total. Spending a point of Willpower adds an additional two yards, while stunts or Virtue channeling add yards equal to the bonus dice normally added.

[Alexander speaking now]: so so so. After an interesting conversation with Eternity, I put my brain on the work and came up with an interesting variant:

Artifact Charm: "Welsh Boost Overdrive"

The Welsh Dragon Ddraig was a being of immense might, so powerful that he was considered on par with God. One of the reasons that made him so fearsome was his ability to increase his own power without limits.

-When activated with a miscellaneous action (Speed 5, -1DV) the Boosted Gear creates an Overdrive Pool of Essence. The motes from it can only be used offensively.
-This Overdrive Motepool starts with [Current Personal + Peripheral Motes]/5 rounded down motes of Essence and doubles the amount of motes it contains every 5 ticks.
-The Overdrive Motepool can at most contain [Essence + Stamina]*10 + 10 Motes of Essence.
-Should motes from the Overdrive pool be used for any purpose, it stops doubling the amount of motes it contains.
-The Overdrive Motepool can be maintained for a full day, after which it resets itself.

"Explosion"

The character can activate this effect as an innate ability by spending 10 Overdrive motes. Until the third DV refresh after the ability's activation the character gains the following benefits:

-He counts his Strength rating twice for the purpose of calculating Base Damage, Feats of Strength, Jumping Distance and other values that use the Strength Attribute.
-He counts his Dexterity rating twice for the purpose of calculating Accuracy, Move and Dash Actions Defense and other values that use the Dexterity Attribute.
-He doubles his natural Soak, Aggravated Damage included if he possesses it.
-In case he uses a Charm or another magical effect that deal direct damage, he double the Base Damage.

The ability can be used multiple times and it's stackable, but it can be used only up to [Stamina+Resistance] times. After the third DV refresh the benefits end, the Overdrive Pool is removed and the character gain [(number of times the ability was used) - (Stamina/2 rounded down)] points of fatigue penalty.

Activating Boosted Gear removes and replaces a still existing Overdrive pool, even if it was created by another effect. Benefits gained with the previous pool are retained as long as they otherwise would be, but still count towards the limit of simultaneous maximum uses allowed by Welsh Boost Overdrive.
-Users can reset and activating again the Overdrive Pool, and the doubling of motes, by spending the motes required for Boosted Gear's Attunement again.

"Double Boost Overdrive"

Ddraig's power allows him to double anything, even himself.

-This Charm is an Expansion Charm to "Welsh Boost Overdrive". It creates a second Overdrive Pool when "Welsh Boost Overdrive" is activated: it follows the same rules at the first one, but the motes from it can only be used for defensive purposes.
-The user doesn't need to spend additional motes when resetting the Overdrive Pools.

Think of it as...an Expansion Charm to the Current Charm?

The Overdrive Motepool can at most contain [Essence + Stamina]*10 + 10 Motes of Essence.
So it'll mean that we'll have 90 motes of Offensive Overdrive Motes and Defensive Overdrive Motes, allowing us to have 180 Overdrive Motes.
However, assuming that we can only have it at Essence 5 and Stamina 5, it would mean that we will have 100 Overdrive Motes per Pool, for a total of 200 Overdrive Motes.
Sids are gonna go cray cray on us lol.

On the subject of Explosion, does that stack with Deadly Dragoon Warrior (or its future variants) or do they not?
Because even without DDW, our current rating would net us:

Strength 6
Dexterity 8
Soak: Bashing 8, Lethal 4, Aggravated 0 (but we would probably get a Balance Breaker with orichalcum theme in it, thanks to BSI)
And that's a mere single Explosion.
With maximum Explosion at current Essence and Stamina, it would mean that we have 8 Explosions (80 Motes), and assuming that...(Strength 3)
6, 12, 24, 48, 64, 128, 256, 512 <==Maximum Explosion
...
...
Wat.
No, no, I could probably get it wrong, and instead it is a, say, Strength 3 x 8 (for 72 Strength maximum) instead of Strength 3 x 2^8...right? RIGHT?

Edit: Oh great Horas above and below, I forgot my votes!

Nope, it's correct >:D For three turns, you will be able to lift...112'500 lbs. More of less 60 tons.

God-Killing Weapon indeed.

And we can add charms to hit even harder like our war form to boost our stats even higher.

Not to mention our dex and soak are boosted as well and we can do the same with our defensive overdrive pool.

Boosted gear is slowly but surely becoming as OP as it was before it was nerfed and it is glorious.

Say what can we lift with 60 tons worth pf strength anyways?

Grin.

So if we were I don't now punch someone with that kind ofvstrength and their body wasn't instantly pulverized from the force how far would they fly through the air?

Uhm, without modifiers? Roughly 170 yards.

Sorry should've been specific though I got the answer I wanted.

170 yards without modifiers huh.

What about with modifers liked our war form and OFoB?

Thansk for th answers so far. They're blooming ideas. Great ideas of us absoluteing ruining some assholes day.

Huh. Didn't think we could pull it off without charms. Okay then, vote change:

*Goes and checks numbers* Yeah, looks like the stunt should be sufficient to get the cat.

The book said "a character may be hurled back one yard for every three dice of raw damage inflicted by the attack". There are Charms that modify this, like Heaven Thunder Hammer, but in general you take the raw damage, divide it for 3 and obtain the number of yards your target fly away.
