Trials of the God-Harem King [Highschool DxD/Exalted] (CLOSED)

Sort of split on what we should do.
Is there any reason we should social-fu him? Or is that something we should do after we beat him. I'd think Rias would like another Piece...

NO, there is No way we are going to be able to do anything before we fight him, he's BERSERKER, he LIVES for fighting, Issei will become a Monk before Berserker backs down without a fight

Yeah this is a situation that social-fu doesn't help us much

So kick his ass and then offer him a chance to not only grow stronger but fight stronger opponents too?

Actually, we probably could social-fu him, if we wanted to get him to join our group. Shougo would probably jump at the chance to fight demons, angels, gods, etc. But that would mean that our team wouldn't be all women, which just can't be done.

I say kick his ass, call Rais and see if she wants him or knows someone who would.

Do we WANT Rias to have him? Sure, he love fighting, but that's it. He's not exactly going to fit well with the rest of Rias's peerage unless he change.

point, he wouldn't fit in the Rias's group. meh, we'll just keep his name in mind and if we see someone who he would fit in with give them his name.

I figured that's what we were going to do, Fight him, if he gave us a good enough fight phone Rias after and see if she wants him for her peerage.

thats in the future, right now we need a plan of battle and a stunt, preferably one that has a mix of attack, defensive and join battle.

FYI, Berserker is very much a brawler, but he's an acrobatic one, head to Youtube, and there should be clips of his fight with Hermit, just look for Berserker vs Hermit or something and it should give you an idea on how he fights.

No need to give specifics on defence charms, Alexander should probably use whatever makes most sense on that front, and we probably want to keep Essence use low at least at the start of thing, so we can get a feel of how good a fighter he is, remember, we can heal now, and we have regen.

Can't write a stunt at the moment since I have only a minute or two left before the laptop runs out of power so some notes:

Stunt help From Fellgar:
1. This is taking place in a warehouse so you have four walls and a roof thought the roof is really high up, unrealistic for a pure human at our age to jump up to. Just to keep in mind.
2. There is going to be junk littering the floor so kicking a pipe between and into beserkers feet to trip him up and create an opening is more then possible. Kicking up a newspaper to obscure his vision, throwing sand from berserker, etc.
3. Berserker doesn't have a fighting style, he does what feels right to him but he still has like a 3 in martial arts all the same. So include the fact that we notice he doesn't use an actual style. Its a surprise to issei that someone can be that good and not have formal teaching, maybe we compliment while we are parrying or something.
4. This is not a spar, this is a street fight, anything and everything goes so maybe one of the underlings went by unnoticed and charges us from behind with a knife which we contemtiously parry with our bare hands or something. Would be a good spot for a one liner.
5. WE have regen, combat capable regen for bruises from punches. Which we are going to be getting in this fight since berserker might have a better physical stats then us in strength and might match us in dex. I can see him with all 4's in the physical stats.

Awesome intro Alex! :D

I have an idea for how to fight Berserker. It's going to infuriate him & be totally unfair, but it shouldn't be too obviously supernatural. Working on stunt...

I don't care if he's a named character from some other series. He acts like a thug, he goes down like a thug. No recruitment, no mercy, just a big golden beatdown.

[X] {FISTS OF IRON TECHNIQUE} (Deal bashing damage, we're not trying to kill anyone)

Your opponent and his minions are responsible for who knows how much misery for the people of your town. There are certainly worse villains in the world, but for the moment only this one is within the reach of your fists. As your hands take on the perfection of orichalcum you charge forward and open the fight with a vicious right cross to your opponent's chin.

Is History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi not a supernatural anime?! I just watched part of it and....I'm impressed

the anime is non-supernatural but they do some things the could cross into it to make the fights more awesome.

sample of the awesomeness: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAZcwMILgJA

Stunt-At the sound of cracking wood & fleshy strikes echoing in the warehouse you dash towards Kitsukawa glass cracking underfoot as you dance around him, his maniac grin fading to a scowl as you land blow after blow upon him even as you infuriatingly always remain just beyond his reach.

[X] Invoke Soaring Whirlwind Sprint & leap around Kitsukawa always remaining outside his reach.
-[X] Return blows with Fists of Iron Technique(Deal bashing damage, we're not trying to kill anyone). Using your new Force Projection technique to
--[X]Use First Martial Arts Excellency

Basically we're going to cheat & remain outside his range, but use Force Projection to have our blows connect even when they remain a few inches from his body. Enough to be difficult to tell from a distance, but allowing us to strike at him without reprisal.

If we send him to Rias, he's going to become a rogue devil. There's absolutely no doubt of this.

yeah no we don't need to give everyone we defeat to rias especially not a gang leader. lets just beat him up and get it over with.

Smuthunter you could probably channel compassion with your stunt.

That would imply that Berserker is worth burning a virtue channel on. :notfunny:

Indeed: instead of your school uniform or your more casual clothing, you are wearing white pants and business suit, with a red undershirt and a black tie. "Oh, this?" You pass a hand over your jacket. "It was Bright's advice: something about 'exerting dominance through intimidation' or something. She also suggested gold as main color, but that would be silly."
Ah Solars. If you can't look awesome doing it, just why did you do it in the first place

I can't remember if Alex is following that rule, but by RAW virtue channels are a semi-limited resource. Also what Smut said.

Little modification to the student, we need to be interacting with the world as well if we want a 2+ dice stunt

Power (Infinity) of Ophis — Endlessness
Cost: —;
Mins: Essence 2;
Type: Permanent
Keywords: None
Duration: Permanent
Prerequisite Charms: None

The Ouroboros Dragon is infinite in her scope. This Charm permanently enhance the character's ability to restore his Essence, allowing him to recover Essence at a rate of four motes per hour while he engages in strenuous activity. In addition he recover eight motes per hour when he is at ease and twelve motes per hour when he is completely relaxed.

A second repurchase of this Charm at Essence 4 allows the character to recover eight motes per hour while he engages in strenuous activity, twelve motes per hour when he is at ease and sixteen motes per hour when he is completely relaxed.

It is a bit overpowered in it's current state motes are a big deal. I would recommend changing it so that if some condition is met she counts as being asleep for the purpose of mote recovery.
Power (Nothingness) of Ophis — Solitude
Cost: 5m;
Mins: Essence 2;
Type: Permanent
Keywords: None
Duration: One scene
Prerequisite Charms: None

The Dragon God is a being who was born alone—she isn't very interested in others. This Charm increases the character's Dodge MDV by his Temperance for the remainder of the scene.

I like this one. Maybe you should require that the infernal ignore the target for the bonus to apply though. Also this isn't a permanent charm it is a simple charm. Permanent would mean it cost no motes because he can't ever stop using it.

Power (Dream) of Great Red — Ambition
Cost: 2m;
Mins: Essence 2;
Type: Permanent
Keywords: None
Duration: One Action
Prerequisite Charms: None

As a being born from Dreams, the True Dragon finds it child's play to understand those of others. This Charm enhances the standard Read Motivation Action, adding the character's Permanent Essence as automatic successes. If successful, in addition to whatever other information the character notices with any threshold of success, he also discerns the target's true Motivation.
You should clarify if you mean motivation as in the motivation of his current actions or the Motivation on his character sheet. If it is the latter you might want to restrict it to a higher essence upgrade.

That's kind of the point. Ophis doesn't really play by exalted rules.

Quick question, why are we activating charms for this? He's just a normal human, I thought the point was testing our martial arts skills against his. Using charms just feels cheap.

[X] You both stand motionless for a moment, gauging the other, then, almost simultaneously, you lunge forward. Kitsukawa leads with a vicious rising roundhouse that would have likely broken ribs had it connected, but you have eschewed the direct approach, and leap high and to the left, bouncing off a nearby pillar to plant your fist in the side of his head.

Yeah, I totally agree with this statement. Our martial arts are at master level according to previous updates so using charms is overkill. Remember people, our opponent is a just a talented disciple level human if we go by history's strongest disciple manga at this point. We could have probably taken on everyone in the Snakes by ourselves barring botched rolls.
