Who wants to bet that Issei is going to be asked about what Yura got wrong about Dragons. After all in order to be a true dragon and not one of the ones that Asia gets as a familiar in canon you have to tap into a power source that resonates with the concept of pure unadulterated power.

And the pure, unadultered power is me trying to explain the shit that dragon energy does in canon. So my theory may have holes.

Personally I view dragons in this quest as being two different types do to the explanation you gave. I look at that them like the Dresden files do. You have dragons and then you have Dragons. The first are things that look what you expect dragons to however they don't have the raw power of the ones you hear about in myth and legend. They are more like supernatural animals that look like them. Dragons are the ones like Ddraig, Albion, The Great Red, and Ophis. The have a whole ton of power and tend to embody concepts. Like infinite with ophis and Dream with the great red.

The Dragon Ferrovax made an appearance in his human form in the third book, but only as a minor character. Apparently he's going to be a major player later in the series. And Proven Guilty mentioned that Micheal met his wife when he slew the Dragon Siriothrax to save the her when she had been offered up as sacrifice.

Yup. Ferrovax was able to a affect Harry just using his first name. Not his whole name like most things but his first name. In this quest I could see one of the dragons becoming a Dragon if it lived long enough like Yura said.

The way I have been looking at it is dragons are power but have no real purpose to it so it just goes all over the place. A Dragon however has gained a purpose to their power for example Ddriag and Albion are domination their power exist to exert dominance on other things thus their constant fight. Others like Tannin for example would have guardian as his purpose whereas Grendel would be destruction or maybe self-destruction.
