The same could be applied to the MCU Asgardians.
The whole what is and isn't a god in fiction is semantics at this point.
The new gods in DC comics are sometimes just portrayed as being advanced aliens, who may like to call themselves gods, rather than actual gods.
I read something called Avengers Goddes on Ff. net. by Reyel, it was really interesting at how it portrayed the various pantheons and gods in the MCU.
Also i really like how you explained the SI worship of pagan gods in you story.
Is this whole diffrent universe thing happening right now, portals opening in earth 10,because of the actions of TP Paul and RQ Jade?
 
Was interested in the reference to 'New Statemen' - lead me to wonder if OJ is familiar with the (really rather strange) late 1980s UK 'Crisis' comic story of the same name. Whether he'd comment on this to Overgirl is, of course, another matter...

i mean- did they..have him literally kill everyone capable of resistance in Europe/The Soviet union and so forth, when he was barely a child/ a teenager, regardless of the effects of local sunlight on his biology, did the Reich get utterly stomped and make a miraculous comeback decades later, or...

..... is it bad that the thing i feel is unrealistic about the "nazi DC" sub-setting is that Nazi Germany's government SURVIVED a "victory" without disintegrating into an orgy of backstabbing that took the country with them, not the half-assed retroviral engineering project actually working on one/two people out of a few thousand subjects? >.<

I mean at the very least, the word Overgirl used has come up before (and funnily enough also to refer to John Stewart in particular), when Krieger attacked the Watchtower way back when, also in a deliberately Nazi/racist context, and there didn't seem to be an issue (I was still just reading Story Only on SB at that point, so I could be wrong, but at the very least, that didn't prompt any forum-switch).

The thing about Wolfenstein: The New Order that makes me uncomfortable is that it is now an official part of the setting there actually was a secret society of Jews with access to all manner of advanced technology that they were hording to themselves. That technology was only released when the Nazis got hold of it, and they used it to make life for their people much better.

I mean, not all the people they executed, but for everyone else.

In this setting, that means that Hitler has done more good with kryptonian technology than Superman. More bad as well, but then, he is Hitler.

I mean to be fair Earth 10 had 70 years, an entire government dedicated to reverse engineering Kal Els pod, thousands of ruthless scientists, a war and radical ideology to motivate people and millions of unwilling test subjects

Also, I'm a little surprised that Paul didn't point out that if Overmans pod landed in 1938 then he would've been too young to play a part in the Holocaust and almost certainly would've missed most if not all of the war depending on when he was first deployed

As for Wolfenstein I always found the idea of the Da'at Yichud being an interesting one, a group of people who create new things because it's the one thing they can do that they know God did as well, and while it is a bit uncomfortable implying that the Nazis were right about there being a secret Jewish society it's a far cry from the Jewish Illuminati the Nazis were obsessed with
 
If the april fools episode will be a renegade episode then will he see what his alternates are doing like the paragon did, or is it just going to be us that see what alternate Pauls are doing?
If the episode is a two parter then will we get snippets of the alternates in both episodes?

This appears to be part of the setup, but considering the word investment so far, the payoff is likely to be multi episodic, thus isn't likely to be done in this episode.

In short, yes this is part of the crisis setup and as things get worse we may even get more intermultiversal refugees like Overgirl...

I think getting fan favorites like Impulse and teh blue beetle isn't just a pipe dream now even if their inclusion in universe 16 would mean their original one was destroyed to fuel Red Queen and Time Trapper shenanigans.


Also a new visit from Dana Dearden (she is in teh future now sadly ) isn't out of the question as they would probably return to the past to investigate shit as their timeline may be erased.
 
What did the renegade do to Shayera 50 aside from curing her, did he give her any powers?

Will the justice league that defeated the Lords find out about what happened to them?

Will we see future episodes with Peter Wynne?

I suppose we didn't see as much explicit magic going on there as in YJ, but Aquaman's trident and the history of Atlantis does strongly indicate that they have magical knowledge; granted, the evidence technically only indicates that they had it in the past, but I don't think we get any knowledge about the power sources for their technology or anything, so it could be magi-tech (And unless Aquaman's and future-Aquagirl's abilities are just 'typical' metahuman traits, that would also count as magic).
 
earth 10 is an abomination. I wonder if the freedom fighters won in the actual comic?

If you can't think about it, can you really be said to remember it? He can't think it any more than he can think his first name, but it's sufficiently uncommon that he wasn't able to figure it out through trial and error. The only thing, in-character, that he was able to determine is that it has something to do with candles.

(I'm one of the people who knows, but not because of Photobucket; I told him where I found it so he could plug that leak.)
