I actually wish they left Earth 10 alone. From what I can tell, it's leading up to the Freedom Fighters being victorious. Which I just think defeats the purpose of even having those kinds of bad universes. The point is that evil won there. You don't just go and say, "Just kidding!"

Especially when it's already too late for all the groups that got genocided.

As for Hitler sticking around despite his health? Probably the reverse-engineered Kryptonian super science. Though I'll also point out that Hitler wasn't just some random junkie sticking whatever he could in a syringe. What really happened is he had an absolutely bonkers personal physician who gave him shit like cocaine eye drops, or gave him what he called Vitamultin but was really just meth.

Kryptonian medical technology probably reversed the damage Morell did to him, and once he had super medicine he probably didn't bother with Morell's services any longer.

Hmm. Given how quickly they'd have had to reverse-engineer that tech to win the war . . . Reinhard Heydrich might have survived, too. That's actually kind of scary. Heydrich was frighteningly effective and competent. So much so that it frightened the Allies. Which is why they went out of their way to have him assassinated.

Define 'won'. In Mastermen the Freedom Fighters were pretty much just ideologically motivated terrorists, attacking everyone and everything in a world that had more or less accepted National Socialism and where the purges were three generations ago. For example, they blew up Overgirl's memorial service and only Blitz prevented massive civilian casualties, then later they dropped a space station on Metropolis and killed everyone who lived there. In Freedom Fighters on the other hand they're portrayed as freeing an occupied America from Nazi oppression, and it's painfully clear that for some reason the Nazis never made any attempt at establishing a puppet government or indoctrinating the population. That series hasn't finished, but it's pretty clear that they're going to win.

Which brings me onto V for Vendetta. Something that annoys me about it is that while it's framed as a fight between fascism and anarchism, we don't actually get a solid ideological case for fascism at any point. Chancellor Susan starts making one, and gets to the end of a page before he starts masturbating over his computer. We never get enough information to know whether his assertion that rigid social controls were the only way for the country to survive the nuclear war was correct, and the book ends before we get a chance to see the negative results of V's actions. Like mass looting, starvation and warlordism.

Yes it would be quiet offensive in modern times, though there aren't many polite ways to refer to someone's skin color in German, black would be the least offensive term.

But 'Neger' the word Overgirl likely used isn't acceptable at all and we even changed the names of a chocolate sweet from Negerkuss to Schokokuss because of the implication of the word.

They can't happen because the plot that leads to them got derailed. Zoat explained years ago (when the derailment had just happened) that he couldn't think of a reasonable and logical way to have either of them without force feeding the idiot ball... You can probably guess what event has been derailed to hell and changed canon.

Honestly, I have never watched Young Justice. I've been meaning to but, it would require I subscribe to the DC Universe service (which is a decent deal). It is still a few months out of rotation before I will subscribe. I have to finish the current season of My Hero Achidamia before I move onto the next service. Next year, I am waiting till most of the season is dubbed to English before resubscribing.

It depends on how the ring is translating it. Because from how it's been described throughout the story I'm inclined to believe it translates meaning more than a literal translation. If she was simply saying the color "black" it would have probably translated as "black."

The fact that it translated to an offensive term in the language it was translated to means she probably meant it that way.

Edit : Given the above, that momentary frown might be more confusion or curiosity than anything. Seeing Lantern Stewart must be like seeing a Tasmanian Tiger for her, and who knows, might not start frothing at the mouth at seeing him, no need for the state to encourage hatred of people that no longer exist, reason why the modern Egyptian state doesn't have a visceral disgust for Hittites.

I already wrote something about that ages ago but it involved a crazy Dark Lantern Paul instead. And it was more about Black Laterns lead by a [DEATH] powered [PAUL] killing the multiverse one universe at a time. Sadly I never finished it. Black Latern Paul might have been the antimatter universe one and he literally could only exist because the Black ring prevented the whole matter + antimatter : Bad news thing.

Then later [DEATH] took advantage of his lack of soul to turn him into the perfect vessel but something went wrong.

That technology was only released when the Nazis got hold of it, and they used it to make life for their people much better.

In this setting, that means that Hitler has done more good with kryptonian technology than Superman. More bad as well, but then, he is Hitler.

the part of that point id debate, is, in setting, just how much- or how little- of that stolen technology was used for anything other then as a weapon-

You know what could have happened? Hitler decided to raise a family. He had a child. That means he might not have started doing quite so many drugs. Tried to be respectable in person - if insane and a bit extreme. Stopped buying into most of his own Nazi propaganda despite the facts and used it as a tool. He also had tech that made military invasion much easier. Germany might have figured out how to transport soldiers to Russia while in Cryogenic pods. This saved up on food and supplies. He also got technology to keep the marching portion of the troops warm - for example, he could have used Superman to solve logistics issues by bringing food and shelter to the troops in Russia. This allowed them to take over most of it fairly quickly, leaving some people to hold the line fairly Far East, and using Superman to find and attack hidden military installations with X-ray vision. None of England would be safe for military officers anymore and only America would be left. However, with America sitting out most of the war, it didn't have any allies left over in Europe and entered a peace treaty with the Nazis while they consolidated power over their newly conquered territory - and later willingly joined.

Well, if they've had kryptonian technology for sixty years… And cleared the air between their launch point and their destination, an atmospheric craft… It would be slower than a zeta tube in places that actually have tubes, but otherwise could give them a faster response time. I'd rather dismissed the idea because.. teleporters are just better, but perhaps I was wrong not to at least present a few prototypes to the League?
