Like the greenies, really. The main difference is that his bobblehead is sexy.

The first, but I just checked, and actual betting odds are traditionally "return/bet", AFAICT. That would make a 70% estimate that Karmang will take the oath give odds of 3/7, which is a bit confusing, since the fraction is not actually the probability of anything, but the return if you win (assuming no transactional costs)
I can only guess, but I'm thinking maybe something about his one-sided affection towards Tula? I think it was mentioned previously that it was eating him up inside pretty bad seeing her with Garth. Are we going to get an idea of what Kaldur wanted, that he was ashamed of OL seeing?
If I am remembering right this Dragon can only be harmed by Truth with a capital T.It is a little irritating how Paul can't seem to do anything, lately...
Is this a first? Paul admitting fault!? (I kid!)
Anyone taking bets on getting a new Lantern recruit? I'm giving it 70:30 at the moment.
I'm with you on that, Karfang doesn't seem the sort willing to work for others in any manner so unless Paul starts rewiring his desires or turns him into a construct which he probably has protection against anyway. In favor? I'll take the other side of that, I'm about 80:20 that Karfang doesn't get recruited.
I've personally liked the fights where Paul actually does affect his opponents but they're tough enough/smart enough to make him work for it. Paul just seems to go down his lost of options lately though, find out they all don't work and then has to figure out who can actually deal with the problem at hand for him.It is a little irritating how Paul can't seem to do anything, lately...
Hot.
Yeah, after his Baby VS Mike Tyson fight with The Angel of War, OL has basically been reduced to that C-list character that is talked up to be powerful, but only shows up to get smashed by the new threat so that readers can see how serious the threat is.Paul just seems to go down his lost of options lately though, find out they all don't work and then has to figure out who can actually deal with the problem at hand for him.

What exactly do you expect Paul to do here?Yeah, after his Baby VS Mike Tyson fight with The Angel of War, OL has basically been reduced to that C-list character that is talked up to be powerful, but only shows up to get smashed by the new threat so that readers can see how serious the threat is.
When was that? OL pretty much peaked combat-wise during the attack on Adom's country with Apokolips tech. Plus, in his early days, he didn't face anything REMOTELY on the same level as a power ring user.
Fuck the supertech in the setting. He has a goddamn power ring!

Beyond that he just kinda flails around till someone else comes and helps out. Unless of course he is facing a fellow hero or lantern trainee. Then he hands them their ass.
That OL has gotten progressively more helpless up until as squashing worse than any pro wrestling Jobber ever received was handed down by the Angel of War?
Fuck the supertech in the setting. He has a goddamn power ring!
Oh I agree. I've said more then once that Magic is clearly the most powerful force in the universe. With the religious version apparently being just a notch above.By this point I'm partial to calling Earth's magic as the setting's true supertech. It can do anything, bypass any limitations and ignore anything it wishes . Even stuff specifically designed to stop magic, like the mageslayers, become obsolete just because.
Well he doesn't like to fight...or break things.Good to see I'm not the only one who finds it strange that OL has been turning into a pretty crappy fighter lately. He didn't even try half of his regular stuff this time around.

You'd think being flat out murdered would be something of a wake up call. But he scarcely seems to care that it happened.
Just because it has a power ring, which is something that can trivially stop mageslayers before they hit?Even stuff specifically designed to stop magic, like the mageslayers, become obsolete just because.
Power Rings are nowhere near as powerful as you seem to think they are.Fuck the supertech in the setting. He has a goddamn power ring!
The entire POINT of a power ring is that you don't NEED to carry ten million pieces of tech.
contaminant
As in so many things, it depends on intelligence.
The problem is less with the specific enemies and more that that's all we get nowadays. Enemies with very specific power sets that force the story into that cycle of Paul being unable to do anything until he calls in backup. OL used to be all about growing his skills and equipment so he could handle bigger problems, but at some point it seems he just decided to stop doing that while everything else in the universe went to the goddamn gym.People chill.
This dragon has a funky defense type that grants immunity to certain types of damage, this is hardly unheard off and this one isn't even a case of Zoat nerfing Paul as the Dragon has this power in canon.
The complaint doesn't have merit in this particular situation, so save it for the next time.
You know that one Skyrim comic about the training Draugr? It's pretty much that. OL has been focusing on building the OLC, eliminating specific threats, recruiting planets against The Reach, and generally building his soft power. Everyone else has been focusing on personal development. The problem is less with the specific enemies and more that that's all we get nowadays. or has so much avarice that the ring is keeping her protected? No, Karfang had immortality as long as her heart was intact, and enough regeneration to rebuild her body from scratch, presuming that she ate enough treasure to rebuild herself.
The comic showed Karfang being defeated by a bunch of medieval knights peppering her with crossbow bolts and then a knight charging her on horseback with a lance. Superboy would have just been faintly annoyed after that.
Either Zoat gave her additional powers (which as the author is certainly his prerogative, perhaps she took the opportunity to improve herself, just as Paul's body was improved), or she's full of treasure she's regenerating so fast that Paul can't tell he hurt her to begin with.
Thank you, corrected.
